How To Do Your Own Spa Day At Home

Going to the spa is a serious treat. It s relaxing, rejuvenating and helps us reboot and recharge from our regularly busy and responsibility filled lives. There s nothing like getting a massage, facial, or a simple relaxing soak in a hot tub to help yourself rewire. Unfortunately, the spa isn t always the most affordable luxury. For many of us, we only get to go a handful of times in our lives, even though most of us could really use it on the regular! While the price it costs to go to the spa isn t going to change any time soon, the good news is that you can recreate your own version of a spa day at home. With a little bit of time set aside and a few key private label skincare products, you can be well on your way to some much needed, low cost relaxation.

Do a mask: Facial masks are one of the best private label skincare products to have on hand for times when you need an excuse to relax and recharge. You can even do a mask while you multitask around your house, but if you can, we recommend trying to really give yourself a break- even if it s only twenty minutes. If you have sensitive skin try a calming mask with ingredients like cucumber and aloe. If you want to get a little exfoliating action going then an enzyme mask is right up your alley. You can also make your own mask using ingredients like clay, Jojoba oil and some raw honey.

Take a bath: Baths are so relaxing! The only thing that could make them better is the addition of some soaking salts and perhaps a few drops of an aromatic essential oil. We recommend using epsom salts for their magnesium content that helps the muscles to relax, but you could also add in some Dead Sea salts if you like. Put on a face mask, play some of your favorite tunes, add your soaking blend to the hot water and 5 drops of an essential oil like Yuzu or Lavender, dim the lights and soak in your very own, custom made relaxation space.

Do a foot treatment: Similar to getting a pedicure, but minus the nail polish, you can give yourself a relaxing foot treatment by giving your feet a good soak in some hot water with essential oils and magnesium salts, then a tingly foot mask (while you also have a facial mask on!). Let your feet soak and detox while you read your favorite book or listen to some nice music. You could even do a guided meditation! The options are plentiful and flexible so you can create the kind of at home spa day you need and want without breaking the bank at the real deal.
