Serums: The Product That Changed My Skin Forever

Serums were one of those products that I just wasn't sure I needed in my skincare regime. In all honesty, I wasn't quite entirely sure what their purpose was and if my skin needed them. That's when I did some research and purchased a few that were suitable for my skin type. Now I can't even imagine how I ever lived without them before! They helped me transform my problem skin (which can tend to look dull at times) into a dewy goddess-like complexion. Anyways, the main takeaway is that face serums rock and are now a staple in my skincare regimen!

What Is a Face Serum?

Serums are a blend of highly concentrated actives made to deliver potent ingredients directly to the skin. They work overtime to focus on specific skin concerns and target them directly. Due to their small molecular size and undiluted formulations, they work more efficiently than other product types. Can they be used as a moisturizer, you might ask? Yes and no. Our Hyaluronic Acid (HA) Serum, and other serums that contain HA can be highly effective in hydrating the skin. However, it all depends on your skin type. I prefer to use either a moisturizer or facial oil to lock in my serum and let that powerful goodness seep into my skin!

Choosing The Right One Is Essential

Being mindful when choosing the right serum for your skin type will give you the best results. If you are looking to age gracefully and provide your skin with an antioxidant boost, try our private label Elite Vitamin C Serum. Retinol (derived from vitamin A) and plant based stem cells are also top of the list for aging skin, both of which can be found in our Stem Cell Reverse Age Serum. Or, are you looking for that signature Jennifer Lopez glow and a 'glass-like' complexion? Try using an oil based serum. Finding a serum formulated with non-comedogenic oils like golden jojoba oil and rosehip seed oil will prevent clogged pores and give you a dewy glow (without makeup)! Our private label Active Botanical Face Serum contains Turmeric and carrot seed oil (high in vitamin A).

How To Use Your Face Serum?

Depending on your skin type and goals, your serum may be applied either once or twice a day! Feel free to experiment with more than one serum, as each formula contains a different mix of exciting ingredients. Being consistent with your skincare regimen (and serums) will visually improve your skin's appearance.
